With room for only 72 diners, it was vital to keep the space uncluttered and open, while still giving the restaurant a cozy feel. This need for a versatile, dynamic space made Ketra the ideal choice for their lighting system.

This new neurology-inspired cafe in NoHo focuses on brain wellness with it’s raw foods offering, live streamed health lectures, and natural, circadian environment--all targeting a healthy body and mind. When creating the health conscious environment, designers wanted a lighting system that featured the nutritional product qualities; a full spectrum composition of light to enrich colors: honey, vegetables, fruit and surroundings. Ketra’s system of dynamic lighting and controls were used to support both concepts of creating a visually vivid environment and synchronized light tuning to benefit human natural rhythms.
Based on a 24-hour cycle, Ketra’s Natural Light provides the appropriate amount of stimulus at the right time of day resulting in less disruption of residents’ circadian rhythms. Ketra is also used for master control over all Ketra and non-Ketra products throughout the facility, with the N3 providing the astronomical time clock needed to control the 24-hour Natural Light cycle.
Owners of this Southampton getaway realized the enormous impact that lighting can have on a space. They had several goals in mind:
They understood the impact that light can have on your internal body clock and how important that was in terms of better sleep, being more productive, and improving mood. They wanted to have the benefits of circadian lighting in their home environment to maximize their health.
They wanted lighting that would highlight the one-of-a-kind details of their space. It was also important to the owners that the finishes, like the custom cerulean wallpaper and dining table made from reclaimed wood, would be highlighted and enhanced by high quality lighting.
They wanted to future-proof their home. They didn’t want a system that would become outdated as technology evolves.
Why they chose Ketra:
Aesthetic and Wellness Benefits Under One Roof.
Ketra has created a new category of light, dynamic light that shifts during the day to mimic sunlight. There are wellness benefits to mimicking sunlight for your internal body clock. It’s important to remove all blue lighting in the evening and to stimulate your day with brighter light during the day. The owners chose Ketra because they wanted the leading technology that delivered circadian lighting.
Ketra’s advanced technology delivers the highest quality light on the marketing. The lighting system is programmed to complement, rather than compete with daylight. When evening falls, Ketra light suffuses the space with a soft, warm glow to complement their surroundings and highlight finishes and artwork.
Beyond the home’s exceptional contemporary beach style, designer Jessica Ayromloo was able to deliver a more tailored space for the owners with Ketra lighting. While highlighting special details of this Southampton retreat, Ketra helped create a comfortable environment for the residents that allows them to be happier, healthier, and more productive when at home. “Being able to relax and take a breath when you get home, having it be happy, is really important,” Ayromloo says.
